NORTHWEST CONFERENCE – PERSON OF DISTINCTION AWARD
The Northwest Conference puts high value on celebrating our students, programs and communities throughout the school year. From “Leaders in Sportsmanship,” to “Coaches vs. Cancer” and “Only 7 Seconds,” The Northwest Conference consistently goes above and beyond with outreach to every school and their corresponding communities.
Starting this spring, each school in the NWC will have the opportunity to highlight someone from their community as a “Person of Distinction.” This honor will celebrate someone associated with each athletic program and draw a spotlight on the amazing selfless people who help make this conference so special!
Ferndale Athletics
Person of Distinction – Erin Gunter
When you attend a Ferndale High School athletic or activities event, not only do you see great spirit and support by students and community, but you also will see Erin Gunter and her camera. Erin spends many days and nights at our events volunteering to take photographs of our student athletes in action, student section antics, and senior night family photo opportunities,
In addition, Erin will also put together team photos and also work with families on Senior Pictures. Pretty much whenever someone needs a photo, Erin will show up and is quick to share out photos online for anyone to use.
Erin has worked at the high school and most recently works as a secretary at Vista Middle School. She recently was able to photograph her two sons Cody and Kyle, as they were heavily involved in activities and sports at the High School. She also serves on The Ferndale City Council and consistently gives her time and support where needed in the Ferndale Community.
We are a better program and school with people like Erin supporting our students!
